Amateur Radio License and Testing Information

 

DCARS Class Results!

"Last night W8JRT, KA8RPB and WA8LE showed up at the college to administer the Tech
test for this years students. 3 Students completed the training and took the exam.
All 3 received their Tech License.

Congratulations to:
John Izzi, Bill Gartner and Bob Kok of Cooks Mi.

Also Roy Chenier upgraded his license to General class."

DCARS Club History/Info

Our Organization, oncecalled - "Bay-De-Noc Radio Club" was formed for the purpose of havingan Upper PeninsulaWide, Ham-fest in 1964. This first Ham-fest forEscanaba became a reality in 1965. On September 1st 1970, Local "Ham"members met at  The Northern Michigan National Bank and decided toaffiliate with the ARRL, received its Charter on February 15, 1971. Atthis time, the name, "Delta County Amateur Radio Society" or DCARS was chosen.
